BLOOR Robert Henry NEW Compiled from research by Gordon Freegard, Merilyn Stewart & Stephen Newbey Robert Henry Bloor was born on 12th April 1873, in Tunstall, Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom, his father, Henry Bloor, (butcher) was 30 and his mother, Ann Jackson Barber, was 30. He married Charlotte Elizabeth Cox on 23rd November 1896, in St Thomas' Church, Pendleton, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom. They were the parents of at least 2 sons:

After Charlotte died on 7th December 1901, Robert married Emily Austin, who was born on 26th November, 1879, at Burslem, Staffordshire, England and died on 27th August, 1966, at Rivervale, Western Australia.
Albert Austin Bloor was born on 16th November 1902 at Burslem, Staffordshire, England. He married Frances Winded in 1925. in Lancashire, England. He remained in England unitl 1928. He died on 21st October 1959 in Perth, Western Australia. Robert Bloor was born on 25th January 1908 at Burslem, Staffordshire, England. He married Elsie May Macey in 1935 at Perth, Western Australia. He died on the 31st January 1978 at Rivervale, Western Australia. Un-named Child was born and died on 14th January 1920 at Carlisle, Western Australia.
Robert Henry Bloor also took up Kent Lacations 609 & 604 between Ongerup and Needilup, but forfeited these in 191 & 1915. He was manager of the Gnowangerup Butcherong Company in 1915. |

Professionally, Robert Bloor was a master butcher and worked in Albany and Gnowangerup, Western Australia.

Glen Oliver: "Angus McDonald may have been the first butcher in Gnp, his shop was located where the Star office is today. Edgar and Norman Davis of Clear Hills also had a early butcher shop run by a Mr Bloor." Also: " Len Tallents-Traded as E.J Stutley and Tallents until 1914. Bloor, working for Edgar and Norman Davis, supplied meat to the general public and the Gnowangerup Hotel. Photo shows Private Frank Bell and three other members of 3rd G.S.R. on final leave at "Teleyarup", Gnowangerup 10th October 1918. Privates Arthur Corbett, Reg Bloor and :Tiny:Meredith. they all sailed on the Boonah together ecept Meredith. |

Reginald and another son possibly enlisted from Gnowangerup in WWI as they are on the Gnowangerup WWI Honour Board.

Robert Henry Bloor died on 15th October 1951, in Perth, Western Australia, Australia, at the age of 79, and was cremated at Karrakatta, Cemetery, Western Australia, Australia.
